Selection Criteria for the Common Core Teaching Excellence Award

The following table serves to provide some examples of practices for meeting the three criteria for the Common Core Teaching Excellence Award. Nominees are not expected to have achieved all of these examples in their course. They are expected to elaborate on those practices that are most appropriate to their teaching context. 

Common Core Course Excellence Award 2012

The Common Core Course Excellence Award is presented each year
to recognize excellent common core courses and
to honor the instructional teams
who have contributed substantially to the development and delivery of these courses

Common Core Course Excellence Award 2013

The Common Core Course Excellence Award is presented each year
to recognize excellent common core courses and
to honor the instructional teams
who have contributed substantially to the development and delivery of these courses

Common Core Course Excellence Award 2014

The Common Core Course Excellence Award is presented each year
to recognize excellent common core courses and
to honor the instructional teams
who have contributed substantially to the development and delivery of these courses

Common Core Course Excellence Award 2015

The Common Core Course Excellence Award is presented each year
to recognize excellent common core courses and
to honor the instructional teams
who have contributed substantially to the development and delivery of these courses

Common Core Teaching Excellence Award 2016 Presentation Ceremony

The Common Core Teaching Excellence Award is presented each year
to recognize outstanding common core course instructors
who have made substantial contribution to the design and/or the teaching of exemplary
common core courses
