Common Core Areas (2026-27 Student Cohort)
Each of the 11 common core areas has clearly defined intended learning outcomes (ILOs) aligned with the Common Core goals and objectives [link to the “Goals” section of “The Program” in Section E]. While the description illustrates the underlying objectives of each area, the ILOs outline what you should be able to demonstrate upon completing the relevant common core courses.

Provides you with invaluable real-world engagement, allowing you to apply your knowledge and competencies in practical contexts including research, teaching, internships, and addressing global challenges. You will deepen your understanding of foundational AI concepts and their implications across various contexts, fostering a transformative mindset. This will enable you to understand, reason with, design through, and lead effectively amidst the uncertainties surrounding AI.
