SFQ Scores
The collection of student feedback data for quality assurance in teaching and learning has been an integral part of HKUST since its inception. All lecture-based sections, including those covering common core courses, are mandated to gather student feedback at the conclusion of each course. Initially, prior to 2008, feedback was obtained through the Course Evaluation Questionnaire (CEQ). From Fall 2008 until Summer 2020, a set of 12 standardized templates, known as the Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ), was implemented for various course types. As of Fall 2020, these templates have been consolidated into a single, generic SFQ (Generic SFQ).
In December 2024, a revised set of SFQ questions was endorsed by the Committee on Teaching and Learning Quality (CTLQ), further enhancing our commitment to utilizing student feedback in the continuous improvement of our educational offerings.
